Our Real First Days

It was Neil's first day at work today, most of his day was taken up with filling out forms for Health and Safety and other stuff.  He told me he has his own room, the room  is about the same size as the one he used to share with three other people back in the UK.  He also has his name on the door, which I ribbed him about.  (I'm a nasty wife)

I went for a day out at the Mall,  I managed to drive down the round by myself which I was a bit nervous about.

I'm still trying to suss out clothing shops, which ones are the better ones.  I also enquired about a couple of vacancies.  I would love a job at the Disney store or Toys-r-us, I can just play around all day.  (only joking)  I tried on a few dresses as I have a work do to go to with Neil at the Shaw Conference Centre, around 400 people are going.  That's just mad, they have teamed up with another company.

Neil's work also has an annual ski trip which hopefully we will managed to get on, we might have to bunk with someone else but that's not a problem.  Just say ski to me and I don't care where I sleep.

Our landlady came to the hotel to finalise our tenancy agreement and get her $500 deposit.  Everything is all go for 8th December.

We went to pick up our skis when Neil got home as they had to fit on the bindings, they have put on some matching baby blue bindings for me which is great.  They look ace,  they made a mistake and didn't do Neil's at the same time so they have giving my binding for free and will be dicounting Neils.  I wish they would make mistakes more often, it saves us $'s.

Speaking of dollars there is a great store here called Dollarama, its fantastic.  You will not  believe what you can buy in there if you see it around go in.  I use stock cubes for my chilli con carni and a pack of eight stock cubes are a dollar for the same stock cubes in the supermarket they are over $2.  They sell lots of stuff in there don't be snobby go in you'll save heaps.  There is one in West Ed Mall, one in St Albert I'm sure there will be another around here somewhere.

Nothing else to report
