That was our last question!
We went to a family Bomfire last night and as we were driving there we started discussing wheather we really did want to buy a property in Edmonton straight away.
We have now started thinking about just leaving our stuff in storage and probally renting a condo in the centre of town. We have no little darlings and the dog will be staying at Neil's parents until the Summer or until we get sorted so the need to get a big house is not really that great.
With market conditions and the big R looming I think it would be wise for us to sit and wait and build up that little nest egg for a while.
I know that a rental wont feel like our home etc etc, but if we don't like the area or something isn't just quite right we can just flit. I'll still be looking around at houses to keep in the loop of the situation and checking on prices though. Also when we first move out I want us to be having FUN FUN FUN and not have to worry for a bit. In England we have been living very much like an old couple and its time for change, a BIG change.
The Bomfire
The bomfire night was fun, every year since I've been with Neil his parents have always organised one. They did used to be big family get togethers but unfortunatley over time the numbers have reduced. Its a great shame to be honest as I look forward to getting together with them all.
They have it at the bottom of their field, Beryl goes to town with hot pot and hot dogs and lots of other goodies.
Everyone was asking when we are leaving but not even we know that yet.
I took some pictures not very exciting but here they are:

Some of the family by the bomfire and I think some of the others were inside by the food.

Come on Geoff, get that fire going. (I think he might kill me for putting this picture up)

I was trying to get a firework shot but I was a bit too slow on the old camera. |
