There's a silver lining somewhere, I know there is.
Neil handed in his notice at work a couple of weeks ago now. He informed his boss that he is emigrating and has given him a months notice. On the letter he stated that because the house is draging he has to hand in his notice now and he would work on a week by week basis. Neil is a Structural Engineer as most of you know by now and finding engineers is quite a hard task as they are few and far between. Both Neil and I thought that this arrangement would work for both the company and us. Neil would probally work over a month hense giving them more time to advertise.
Neil told me last night that his boss wants a fixed date. I was like, 'WHAT'! We can't give a 'fixed date' we are waiting for the house to go through. (by now you probally know the crap we are going through with this) Neil said that his boss said that it is causing an issue for payroll. I was like 'how can it cause an issue with payroll?' Neil said because they don't know a fixed date. We have now come to the conclusion that his boss is being difficult now because Neil has handed in his notice. Anyway Neil is going to ask this person in payroll today if it does make her little life 'difficult'.
On another note, the company that want Neil in Edmonton want a date for our arrival. I feel like screaming, or saying 'we want to be over there just as much as you want us there'. I have been keeping them all informed about everything in England.
Please would someone give me strength, why is it that everyone has started being like this with us. Just when I have decided to stop worrying about it all. I have been so stressed and shed loads of tears about the hold up of our house but there is nothing Neil or I can do to make this go any quicker. We just have to wait and be patient.
