Trying to do too much, I think!

My first enrty for March I haven't got round to doing an entry for a while in fact its been a whole week

I've been in the kitchen this morning making a Lemon Sponge Cake and also Homemade Lemon Curd to go in it.  Its the first time I have baked in Canada to be honest I was a bit nervous about it, hell knows why.  I'm waiting for the Lemon Curd to cool down and my Sponge Cake will be ready for dinner with a nice cup of tea.

I am starting to think about the Ski Instructor training, I think I might do it next year as I am trying to get my foot firmly on the floor at work.  There is opportunity there to progress up and I can clearly see it.  My manager has transfered another of our work force to another store because sales are still slow.

Whenever my manager is in he always wants to see us pounch on people when they walk in "Hello, is there anything I can help you with today?"  I don't mind doing it, but there are poeple that just want to look round for themselves and not get pestered by a store assistant!

Its snowing again outside today my manager said just yesterday that we had seen the last of it but I'm glad of its return.  The more snow we get the longer the skiing season lasts.

Neil and I were in Walmart on Sunday, I was looking for baking stuff and Neil was in the lightbulb section when someone asked him a question,  It turned out these people were Brummies.  We got chatting to them the husband arrived in November like us and the wife had only got here on Saturday.

They were full of the same old questions that Expats ask and we exchanged phoned numbers after a half hour chat.  I was going to tell them about BE but they haven't got the internet yet and they moved straight onto another topic before I got the chance.  Its funny, I thought we would hear far more Brits around Edmonton but this is the first time in three months.  Apart from a fellow BE member phoning me up

So works pretty much taking up most of my time right now and until the weather clears up and Spring gets here there isn't much else new to do so we will have to make do with skiing. (not that I mind)
