Open day at our local Quarry

When we took our dog out for a walk we noticed a sign at the local quarry which stated they were having an open day.

I used to work there a few years back and got the opportunity of a tour round the works which was quite interesting.  Neil has always wanted a look around so as it was something to do today and it was free we decided to go.  To be honest I want to log all these places in a blog to look back on so I hope I'm not boring anyone.

Neil as a truck driver (what do you think)

The Quarry bigger than I thought it would be

                                                                                                     Around £100,000 in electricity bills

One of the old bearings, the new one cost the company £25,000

                                                                                                                          Inside the control room

It was quite a good day out and something we should have done before, there are still a few places I want to get to before we go to Edmonton.
