Buy or rent - that is the question!

We are trying to decide whether we should buy a property straight away when we get to Canada or rent for 6-12 months so that we can settle and get used to the area and make a more informed decision about our eventual location.

Like most people making the move overseas, we will have to deal with moving not only our home but our country, starting up our business in Canada, getting used to the Canadian business system as opposed to UK and many other things. If we rent rather than buy first at least we will not have the problem of looking for houses on top of everything else.
