Deer, deer, deer

Well, since I last wrote all excited about the sudden appearance of deer in the garden, we cannot seem to get rid of them. Not that we want to. We have gone from never seeing them to having four regular visitors and today one came during the day which we have never seen before. We think the cold and snow is bringing them in as our bird food is easy pickings for them.

We also had five red squirrels in the garden all at the same time today and none of them were chasing each other. usually if there are more than a couple of them they are continually chasing each other away, but today they all sat in perfect harmony, aaahhh.

We just cannot get enough of the wildlife here. Hubby said the other day that it is like having our own private zoo and it really is.

We love all the wildlife too. Jealous of your deer, I hope they dont eat too much stuff you want to keep:)

6 ran out in front of me on the drive home lat night.

Our turkeys are funny, they demand food with menaces now...they get all leary and hang around the bedroom window waiting! I think the cold is getting to them.

I heard Alfalfa is good for attracting deer, and salt licks too, but we have never bothered..

Deer

We bought some deer food yesterday and put it out. Trouble was, for the first time in a week - no deer!

Lets hope they turn up today.
