It's Christmas.....Well, Christmas is finally here and not a snowflake in sight! In fact I took a picture of our garden yesterday – Christmas Eve and the sun was shining, the sky was blue and it was reasonably warm. We could not have believed that our first Canadian Christmas would produce weather like this. Part of us is grateful as we don’t want too bad weather, but a little of us is also disappointed at not having a white Christmas – maybe next year!We have spent Christmas with just the two of us watching movies and hubby watching American football. We had a phone call from my aunt and uncle in Spain this morning. They of course have great weather and have a couple of friends over from the UK, so they are having a good time and it was lovely to hear from them today. Secondly we had an email from our lovely ex-neighbours from the UK. They too have had a quiet Christmas and they say the weather isn’t too good in the UK. They don’t seem to be getting on particularly well with the people who bought our old house. That is a shame because they were fantastic neighbours and great friends to us, so the new people are loosing out big time. Finally we got an email from hubby’s daughter who visited us recently wishing us a Merry Christmas. Thank God for modern technology or we could not have kept in touch with everyone. Well, that’s all for now – have a great Christmas and New Year. Our back garden yesterday! ![]() ![]() <- Last Page :: Next Page -> |
