Walking miles round NY

It seems we were worried about the girls for no reason last night. They caught the bus with no problems and got back to the hotel safe and sound.

After breakfast this morning we all got on the bus to Manhattan and then took the subway to Central Park. We started off the day with a visit to the zoo as the girls wanted to go. It is a very small zoo and not a great one. They have the sea lion pool as the central feature then a penguin area in a side building. You can then walk round a small trail to see the polar bears, the female of which was quite bald, not sure why. Then you walk round to otters, monkeys and other small animals. The best bit is probably the rain forest area that contains lots of birds and reptiles.

After over an hour there we separated with the girls as they wanted to go to the Natural History Museum and we didn’t. We walked down 5th Avenue from the park down to 40th Street. We went into the fashion district, Times Square, Rockefeller Centre and everywhere in between.

After lots of walking we went back to Times Sq* where we had arranged to meet back up with the girls at 5.30pm. We got there at about 4.45 and hoped they would be early as we could barely walk any longer. As it happened they were early and came along at about 5pm. We then went to Planet Hollywood for dinner. We had a really nice meal and after we once again left the girls in town. They are going to see Mary Poppins the musical. We came back to the hotel.

*At Times Sq there is a large building that is used by Charmin to promote their toilet paper etc - they provide free restrooms. You have to go up an escalator and then if you are unlucky, join a queue. Whilst in the queue you are entertained Disney style with songs and dancing – it is really quite bizarre. There are lots of toilets and half a dozen attendants. As people get to the front of the line the attendant allocates a cubicle for you and they clap you as you go in! When anyone leaves the toilet the attendant goes in to make sure the cubicle is fit for the next person. In the cubicle there is a toilet, basin and about ten rolls of toilet paper and Charmin kitchen roll to dry your hands. Only in America!!

I have been in the writing business for years. I have handled many beats and responsibilities. I have written everything from samples of personal statements articles, to screenplays, to custom essays, to straight news when I was in UK. Now that I am back in the US where I belong. I intend to pursue another writing career that has always been a frustration of mine, arts. Frustration because I feel that I lack the creativity and the patience to draw, much less do it digitally. So I guess I'll just concentrate on pharmacy essay writing.
