A traditional fishing village with catches of mainly anchovy and sardines, Benajarafe has a population of approximately 3,000, sandy beaches and safe clean bathing, plenty of restaurants serving srumpious food in delightful surroundings, an excellent garden centre and all usual facilities.
During 2005 a new promenade stretching the length of the beach and lined by gardens and palm trees was created, enhancing the natural beauty of the town and its low-rise white buildings. A new promenade extension will be develop in some months from Los Laures to Chilches

BENAJARAFE more tips
To reach Benajarafe, can be used the Mediterranean highway (E-15), both coming from Almeria and from Malaga. It should be used output No 258.
This puts highway Benajarafe to 10 min from the capital and 30 min from Malaga International Airport
Come and see!.
In adition of the excellent climate and pleasant place, highlights the seafront and overall the great 3km-wide beach, with many "pescaitos" restaurants, which offers the best product of the sea. Benajarafe is a nice coastal town, exclusive turism, located on the Costa del Sol, southern Spain, in the region known as the Axarquia, 15 km from Malaga. Enjoy of one of the most benign climates of Europe, being known by all its peculiar 'microclimate' which makes it very comfortable both in winter and summer, all thanks to an almost tropical sun, being benefited from the influence of the sea and protection in the nearby mountains, Come and see!
