Massive mastiff

Me & daughter took the dog down the park for her morning walk, as we were walking back a very large mastiff / pit pony decided to join us! Nervously looking over our shoulders, it just kept trotting alongside us, grinning like a demented Scooby Doo, we shouted to the woman walking behind it thinking she was the owner, but she denied all knowledge of Butch (as we decided to nickname him). By the time we got home Butch was still shadowing us, so worried about him getting run over, I enticed him into our back garden and phoned the ranger and gave her the dogs tag number, "No worries we will be down in half and hour" . Two hours later (with Butch sitting looking mournfully through the patio door howling the whole) the ranger turns up - she`d had to divert down to Secret Harbour to pick up a Great Dane that had been running over the roads (must have been the day for losing large dogs!!). She phoned us later on to say his owner had picked him up - she`d been distraught with worry, he must have got out the gate and only lived on the other side of the park. Daughter had grown very fond of him and had been asking if we could keep him if he wasn`t claimed but soon changed her mind when I mentioned she`d be on garden poo patrol with a shovel
