40 years

Well it was hubbys 40th on Sunday and we had the relatives round, spent most of the weekend cooking and cleaning but it all went ok (well no-one died from food poisening so far).

The dog however was in the bad books, I`d put her outside when everyone first arrived, we were sitting chatting politely until I leapt up yelling "You buggahh Im gonna bloody skin you!!" Hubbys cousin nearly leapt off his seat before realising I was shouting at the dog, who I could see through the window merrily digging her way to China with her bone in mouth!!  All pretense with the relatives that I am actually a polite civilised young lady wot talks propah, went straight out the door. The dog came trotting in looking smug as if to say "Well that will teach you bitch for leaving me out of the action". It`s not the fact that she digs the holes -it`s the fact she digs them so quick. She is like a motorised barrel on legs and it`s not because she`s bored or we leave her out for long periods either, she scratches to go out soley for the purpose of digging, she even does it at the beach. From the time I see her start to me getting to the door she has dug the Warnbro equivelent of the Kalgoorlie Superpit.

It was good day though, hubby got some lovely presents, I got the cousins kids hyper on a sweetie rush (it`s great when they`re not yours) and everyone seemed to have a good time.

We have our first rental inspection on Wednesday, so I`ve been busy cleaning the oven and weeding the garden, on inspecting the hole in the middle of the lawn I decided subterfuge was the best policy. I filled it in and strategically placed the watering can over it (on it`s side so it looks it was just sort of accidentaly left there in a nonchalant sort of way). Hopefully they won`t notice, maybe I`ll tell them they can`t go in the garden as the dog is rabid  - you never know it might work - bit of skooshy cream or toothpaste  round her mouth, I might just get away with it .
