Well we`ve been really busy here in Perth since we arrived 11 days ago (I can`t believe how quick the times goes). Hubby had been offered a job prior to leaving the UK but he`s been offered another and has decided to go with the 2nd company as it seems anicer company to work for (fingers crossed).

We`ve been looking at rentals and were turned down for the first one we applied for, however we heard today that we were successful for the one we viewed earlier this week, so we move in next Friday. It`s nowt fancy, 4 bed 2 bath doesn`t even have aircon (though the owners have said they will put it in over the next month or two) but it`s a roof over our head and it means we don`t have to put on the relatives (who`ve been brill!!).

So we have a new car, tax file numbers, bank sorted, furniture ordered, house rented, the only main thing to do is register with Medicare.

We went o Cohuna Koala Park this week as a wee treat for H, as she has been great (it`s not much fun getting dragged round shops & real estate agents when you are a kid) She got her photo taken with a Koala and really enjoyed it, though I felt it was a bit rundown (mind you that was maybe due to it being winter). We`ve been down to Rockingham a couple of times and dipped our toes in the Indian Ocean and ate ice cream cones whilst wrapped in our woolly jumpers, sitting on the benches along the sea front!

 It`s good here so far - hopefully that will continue once everyday life & work committments hit.
